What is Web Optimization?

Web site optimization (WSO) is the process of reducing web site size and complexity to maximize website performance. Meta-Tags provide information to the server and the internet browsers of users on how to display a web page, and even whether and how a web page is to be indexed in search engines.

What is navigation? What qualities would a good navigation system have? What would make a navigation system ineffective?

Navigation is a way of guiding. For example, a car has a nagigation. People can buy a navigational system put into their cars for directions on where they want to go and how to get there. Good qualities would be.....
1.)Simple navigation.
2.)Readability.
3.)User-friendly.
Without these things, a navigation system would not be effective.

What makes a great website? What is the purpose of a website?

"Information" and "Location" are the key words in makeing a great website..If a website has no meening to it then what is it? If a website is hard to locate what you are looking for, then why use the website? There should be only one main purpose to a website and it should state it clearly on the website that you are looking for. It should state the reason that you are makeing the website and who it may sell to.
